Print Museum and typography collection
The Museum showcases a complete traditional letterpress printing press and a collection of wood and metal types.
Library and archive
WASM is the home of Institute of Typography Sri Lanka housing a archive of books and resources relating to languages, scripts and literature of Sri Lanka. The archive houses a collection of original materials, ephemera and printed materials from 19th century Sri Lanka. The centre is managed and run in collaboration with the Akuru Collective.
Workshops and events
The W A Silva Museum hosts workshops, talks and events related to printing, letterpress, languages and literature.
Venue hire
The garden area and the museum premises are available for hire. Please get in touch for availability and prices.

Are you a language literature or typography enthusiast? You can support the WASM by becoming a member through to Akuru Membership.
Cafe
A cafe and a gift shop will open at WASM soon. Giftshop will feature original prints, postcards and souvenirs.

Visit us
Museum and the library is open on weekends from 10am–6pm. Weekday visits and archive access is arranged on request.
